About Product Projects:
Product Project Shops began as a parody on consumerism/capitalism, investigating what "things" mean to us.
The projects combine analog + digital, and handmade + machine made. Although intended as a conceptual statement, these shops are real, and have real art and products for you to buy and love. Product Projects are based on sustainable and eco-mindful art practices such as recycling, up-cycling, no/low inventory, low waste, affordability and employing others. California/USA production ensures a semi-low-carbon footprint for west coast/US customers. Some of the objects in the shops are produced by a variety of print-on-demand companies that only make things when they are purchased, which supports equitable employment, and offers me a healthy balance between creating and selling. Other things are made using 85-100% vintage or post-consumer waste materials, transforming my junk into useful & delightful objects. |
