statement
My manner can be formally described as Urban Landscape Abstract Expressionism. The applied influences are Hudson River School landscapes of the 1800's, Contemporary Abstract Painting and photos taken in my neighborhood with a cell phone.

Frederic Church, 1860 |

Gerhard Richter, 1991 |

cell phone, July 2007 |
OK, so all art talk aside, my uncommon influences include:
Orwell and Wells, McInerny, Gibran and Grimm, Foucault and Faulkner - to name a few.
Simply put, my work is about the ... SKY (gasp!)
And the way it is vast and ever changing, and no two are alike - much like the days we live.
More about the work.

bio
mini bio
Leora Lutz grew up in the northeastern parts of Los
Angeles. Her memories include:
- The 70's – milk was delivered at grandma's house
- The early 80's – punk, new wave & lots of eyeliner
- Later 80's – studied textiles, furniture & pop
culture
- The 90's – tried to stay in a "real job"
Résumé Long Bio
Erroneously thinking that I must have a “real
job” to support my art interests, I worked in high profile management
during the 12 years I exhibited & curated shows in Los Angeles. Done
with digressions, I opened a gallery in 2003 to
focus as the facilitator of other artists’ careers.

“Gift Shop” another year in l.a. gallery / Los Angeles
November 17 – December 18
Amazing group show + party = November 17 at 7pm – 10pm
I made some
brand new works on paper for the show! They are really scrumptious, 4” x 6” and only $20. They can be a special note or poem card to give, then frame later.

Unfortunately I cannot be at the Chango show because I will be happily
hosting another big holiday
group show at my gallery!!
